ABOUT
About Me
I am a children’s book illustrator and paper engineer dedicated to creating immersive, interactive worlds. Originally from Ukraine and currently based in Germany, I specialize in the technical design of pop-up books, transforming stories into three-dimensional, tactile experiences.
From Metallurgy to Moving Paper
My path to book design is driven by a unique blend of technical precision and artistic passion. I hold an MSc in Metal-Cutting Machines and Tools (DNTU) and bring over 10 years of experience as an engineer in the metallurgical industry. This background in complex 3D modeling and structural logic is what defines my work today. I don't just illustrate; I build mechanisms that are durable, precise, and magical.
Inspiration & Style
My artistic style is rich with characters, animals, and educational themes, deeply influenced by the architectural heritage of England, France, and Germany. The intricate details of old castles and historic buildings often find their way into my paper structures.
Collaboration
While my current projects are awaiting their debut in the publishing world, I am fully prepared to bring my expertise to new collaborations. I offer:
-
Full-scale Paper Engineering (from white dummy to final mechanics).
-
Character & Narrative Illustration.
-
Custom Novelty Book Development.
Languages: English, German, Ukrainian.
I am always open to discussing new projects, commissions, or freelance collaborations. Let’s build something extraordinary together.
